Greenhouse Accessories
We make or supply a wide range of accessories to complete your greenhouse, from staging and shelving to cold frames, decorative finials and cresting, colour coded aluminium downpipes and greenhouse shading roller blinds.
Integral Staging
Our integral staging is our most popular and cost-effective variety.
Built directly into the frame of the greenhouse, it anchors into the frame in two places using a cantilever design to eliminate the need for legs down to the floor, thus saving space underneath.
The staging is generally 2ft deep (610mm) but can be made to custom depths if space is limited.
Freestanding Staging
For larger applications or to give maximum flexibility, two-tier freestanding staging can be made to any length and width. Although lightweight and easily manoeuvrable, these units will support an impressive amount of weight.
Shading & Roller Blinds
For shading and insulating the greenhouse, it is very simple to fit plugs, nuts and bolts, brackets and various other fittings into the inside face of each glazing bar. Temporarily fitting shading mesh or bubble wrap season by season is therefore very simple.
For a more professional shading solution, we can supply and fit custom-made greenhouse roller blinds, which have good light transmission but are very effective in preventing burning in direct sunlight.
It is important for us to know in advance if you are likely to want this option, as we can then build the beams for the blinds to mount on into the frame at the time of manufacture.
Cold Frames
Our cold frames are hand-made in the same way as our greenhouses. As such, they can be made to replace earlier timber ones onto the existing base or designed into a new-build project as part of the dwarf wall drawing.
The cold frames can be left open a few inches for ventilation or opened more widely for access. Once open, they are locked into position on two supporting props with quick release pins for security.
Gutters & Downpipes
Our gutters will be fitted with a push-fit spigot adaptor as standard, which means that any 68mm downpipe system will fit directly onto the gutter. This makes supplying your own downpipe after installation very cheap and simple.
However, for a smart finishing touch, we can supply powder coated aluminium downpipe and fittings colour coded to the frame.
Finials & Cresting
The ridge can be fitted with decorative finials and/or cresting for the Victorian look.
Glazing Options
The vast majority of our greenhouses are glazed with clear, 4mm toughened safety glass. If a greater degree of either shading or privacy is required however, we can glaze the relevant part of the greenhouse with 4mm toughened glass which is either frosted or even tinted depending on the finish required.
